I have always loved Benefit Cosmetics: the beautiful colors, the pretty packaging, the awesome brow bar, and my girl Tia who kicks ass at waxing brows. The Benefit counter at the Belk in my local mall was having an event. You know, the kind where they do your makeup, you spend a bunch of money, and they give you a travel bag with some samples. Totally worth it. Anyway, below is everything I ended up with. The sun beam, benetint, It’s Potetent! eye cream, and Total Moisture moisturizer were all small samples that came with my gift. (My roommate also got chachatint *scowls.*)
My thoughts? The lollitint is a very pretty purple, and happens to be Pantone’s color of the year, so I feel good about getting it. The longwear powder shadow goes on smooth and light, you have to use a lot if you want it to really show. These two colors (milk it! and bingo!)are amazing! I’ll try to show you guys a look with them later… think T-Swift at the Grammys. As I’ve mentioned before, I have huge pores and my nose tends to get pretty oily throughout the day. The POREfessional: agent zero shine fixes that by setting my makeup and mattifying my face. The moisturizer was nice as far as moisturizers go. I didn’t really notice a difference with the eye cream, but that could be because I only have a tiny tiny sample of it. I can’t wait to use the sun beam to create some “it’s freaking cold out here I am ready for summer” looks, and I’m pretty sure I’ll wear the benetint on my cheeks and lips while I’m at home drinking wine on Valentine’s day.
